bet365 Cash Out (UK): How to Use It May 2026

The bet365 Cash Out feature in the UK gives punters ultimate control over their wagers, allowing them to settle a bet early to lock in a profit or minimise potential losses before the final whistle. Whether the match is going down to the wire or your selection is struggling, this tool lets you react in real-time.

In this comprehensive guide, we break down exactly how the feature works, when to use it, and provide step-by-step instructions on how to apply it to your bet slip.

bet365 Cash Out Terms & Conditions

18+. bet365's Cash Out feature gives you more control over your bets and offers an opportunity to take a return before an event has finished. When available, you can Cash Out a bet in its entirety, or you can partially Cash Out your bet, whilst leaving the remainder of your stake to run. Terms and Conditions apply

bet365 Cash Out Options

The bet365 Cash Out feature puts you in the driver’s seat, allowing you to settle your wager and secure a return before the event officially concludes. Depending on your strategy, you can utilise three distinct types of cash out:

  • Full Cash Out: Settle your entire bet early to instantly lock in a profit or minimise losses.
  • Partial Cash Out: Retrieve a portion of your returns early while leaving the remaining stake active until the event ends.
  • Auto Cash Out: Set a specific threshold; if the cash-out offer reaches that exact amount, the system will automatically settle the bet for you.

⚠️ Important Bonus Code Note: If you are playing through a bet365 bonus code offer, keep wagering requirements in mind. Fully cashed-out bets do not count toward your rollover total. For partially cashed-out wagers, only the remaining active stake will contribute. Sign up using the bet365 bonus code to place your initial wager and test these features yourself.

Full Cash Out: A Step-by-Step Example

To understand how the Full Cash Out works in practice, let’s look at a scenario involving a football accumulator:

  • The Setup: You place a £10 treble on three football teams with odds of 4.00, 3.50, and 5.00. If all three teams win, your total potential return is £700 (£10 x 4 x 3.5 x 5 = 700£).
  • The Live Scenario: The first two teams win their matches. In the final game, your team is leading 1-0 with just 10 minutes left on the clock. Because the match is tense, bet365 offers you a live Cash Out value of £550.

At this point, you have two choices, each with a different outcome depending on how the game ends:

Your Choice

Scenario A: The team concedes a late goal (Draws 1-1)

Scenario B: The team holds onto the lead (Wins 1-0)

Option 1: You Cash Out for £550

You win £550.

Your payout is locked in, and you successfully avoided losing your entire stake to a late equaliser.

You win £550.

You secured a profit, but you "missed out" on an extra £150 by not waiting for the final whistle.

Option 2: You Let the Bet Run

You win £0.

The late equaliser ruins the treble, and your entire £10 bet is lost.

You win £700.

You get the maximum possible payout, with an extra £150 for braving the final 10 minutes.

Partial Cash Out: A Step-by-Step Example

If you want to lock in some profit but keep a stake in the game, the Partial Cash Out feature offers the perfect middle ground. Let's use the same scenario from our previous example to see how it works:

  • The Setup: You place a £10 treble with potential returns of £700.
  • The Live Scenario: Two teams have won. The third team is leading 1-0 with 10 minutes left. The current Full Cash Out offer is £550.

Instead of taking the whole £550 or letting the whole £10 run, you use the slider to cash out exactly 50%.

By doing this, you instantly split your bet into two equal halves:

  1. The Cashed-Out Half (50%): You instantly secure £275, which goes straight into your balance.
  2. The Active Half (50%): The remaining £5 of your original stake stays live at the original odds to run until the end of the match. This active half now has a maximum potential return of £350.

Here is how your total payout looks depending on the final result:

Final Match Result

Payout from Cashed-Out Half (Fixed)

Payout from Active Half (Live)

Your Total Return

Scenario A: The team concedes a late goal (Draws 1-1)

£275

£0

(The live £5 stake loses)

£275

Scenario B: The team holds the lead (Wins 1-0)

£275

£350

(The live £5 stake wins)

£625

(£275 + £350)

Auto Cash Out: A Step-by-Step Example

The Auto Cash Out feature is perfect if you cannot watch the match live but still want to protect your wager based on specific profit targets. Here is how it works using our ongoing accumulator example:

  • The Setup: You have a £10 treble in play with a maximum potential return of £700.
  • Setting the Rule: Before or during the matches, you navigate to the "My Bets" section of your bet365 account. Next to your active bet, you create an Auto Cash Out rule, entering a target value of £500.

Once this rule is set, the system takes over completely:

  • Scenario A: The offer hits your target. Your team goes up 1-0 in the second half, and the shifting live odds push the real-time cash-out value of your bet to exactly £500. The system instantly triggers a full cash out. The £500 is automatically credited to your balance. If the team concedes a goal five minutes later, your winnings are already safe.
  • Scenario B: The offer never hits your target. If the match remains too close or your team falls behind, the cash-out value might never reach £500. In this case, the rule is never triggered, and the bet will simply run until the final whistle determines the final outcome.
