Brentford 2-1 Liverpool
Four draws in six. Brentford are the hardest team in the division to beat and among the hardest to predict — unbeaten, fourth in the table, and yet with only two wins to show for it. The 2-2 at Villa Park was the latest in a run of afternoons where they controlled matches without ever killing them.
Liverpool arrive after a chastening Sunday. Beaten 3-0 at home by Manchester City, with Haaland, Doku and Cherki all on the scoresheet, Andoni Iraola’s side now sit ninth and nine points off the top having won twice in six.
Brentford have been waiting for a result like this, and a visiting team low on confidence is exactly the kind they tend to catch. The Gtech is rarely a comfortable afternoon for anyone.
Manchester City 3-1 Ipswich
Six games, six wins, sixteen goals. City are three points clear and have been imperious, the 3-0 at Anfield confirming what the opening weeks suggested.
Ipswich are an awkward read. Three wins and three defeats from six, nothing in between, and a goal difference of minus three that reflects a side capable of beating Fulham 2-1 one week and being dismantled the next.
The Etihad asks questions Ipswich are unlikely to answer. They will score, as they usually do, but City are operating at a level nobody in the division has matched.
Newcastle 1-1 Aston Villa
A strange week on Tyneside. Beaten 4-1 at Coventry on Monday night, a result that left Newcastle eleventh and asking questions about a defence that has conceded thirteen already.
Villa are barely better placed. Sixteenth on five points, with that 2-2 at home to Brentford following the win at Tottenham, and Unai Emery still searching for consistency.
Two sides who have been leaking goals meeting at a point where both badly need something. St James’ Park will demand a response, but Villa are organised enough to leave with a point.
Leeds 2-1 Manchester United
Elland Road, and few fixtures in English football carry more edge. Leeds sit seventh after a 2-1 defeat at Arsenal that was closer than the trip suggested, and have lost once in six.
United remain stuck. Thirteenth on six points, one win all season, and a 1-1 draw with ten-man Tottenham at Old Trafford that summed up where they are — Dominic Solanke equalising in stoppage time after Rodrigo Bentancur had been sent off.
Michael Carrick needs a performance and this is the worst possible place to look for one. Leeds have the crowd, the form and the greater certainty about what they are.
Brighton 2-0 Crystal Palace
Eighteen goals in six matches, the best attacking record in the division by five. Brighton are third, won 2-0 at Sunderland last time out, and have scored at least two in all but one of their fixtures.
Palace have found something, beating Forest 3-1 at Selhurst Park to climb to twelfth, but twelve conceded in six remains the problem. They have kept one clean sheet all season.
The M23 derby usually produces more than the table suggests. This time, though, the gap between the sides looks real, and Brighton should settle it comfortably.
Nottingham Forest 0-2 Arsenal
Arsenal are second on fifteen points, beaten once, and ground out a 2-1 win over Leeds last time out when the performance fell short of the result.
Forest are fifteenth and drifting. The 3-1 defeat at Palace made it three losses in four, five goals scored in six matches, and the City Ground is becoming restless.
Mikel Arteta’s side have conceded five all season. Against an attack that has managed five in total, this has the look of a straightforward evening for the visitors.

Regarding how the Sky Super 6 works, the premise is simple: predict the correct scores in six selected matches and walk away with £1,000,000. This one is easy to play, but incredibly difficult to master.
To make mastering the game a little more difficult, there are no prizes for simply predicting the correct outcome. For example, if Newcastle play Aston Villa and you predict a 1-1 draw, that is the score required to tick off your first winner.
Should the two top-tier rivals play out a 2-2 draw instead, you may have backed the correct outcome, but that is no good in this free football jackpot game.

Super 6 is a prediction game where you go head-to-head against one of our pundits each round. You'll be entered into a prize draw if you beat their score. You can also compete for other prizes by predicting the correct scores for six football fixtures.
Predictions must be submitted before the first fixture of a given round kicks off. You can make unlimited changes until the first fixture starts.
The prizes are:

Tiebreakers are determined by:

- If scores are still tied, the Golden Goal prediction is used, with the closest prediction ranked higher.
