Our Super 6 Predictions

Newcastle 1-2 Bournemouth

Newcastle are finally starting to get their act together in the Premier League, and that does lead us to wonder how much attention they will pay the domestic leagues this season in comparison to their European exploits. As for Bournemouth, they are carrying a bit of momentum now after their comeback win over Tottenham, and we expect to see them give the Magpies a real test - leading to a small(ish) upset over the weekend.

Manchester City 3-1 Exeter

After dropping points in their last couple of games, Manchester City are suddenly facing a notable gap between themselves and Arsenal in the Premier League title race. Exeter City, meanwhile, are actually looking pretty solid in League One this season, and while you aren't going to find many people who will back them to go to the Etihad and win, we do expect to see them get on the scoresheet.

Tottenham 1-2 Aston Villa

Tottenham Hotspur fans are used to the feeling of disappointment, and for Thomas Frank, he will be well aware of the fact that he is on the chopping block right now. A good run in the FA Cup could potentially save him but unfortunately, they have been drawn against an Aston Villa side that are currently in the midst of an actual title race, and we think the boys from the Midlands will get the job done here.

Charlton 0-2 Chelsea

The problem so far for Charlton Athletic in their return to the Championship has been a real lack of consistency, leaving them lingering down in the bottom half of the table. Alas, a home game against London rivals Chelsea is quite the motivator - and we're interested to see how they approach it. In the end, though, we do believe the Blues have enough to make their way through to the fourth round.

Portsmouth 0-4 Arsenal

Portsmouth aren't necessarily as poor as their 21st-place league position suggests, but at the end of the day, this is a results-based game. They will take comfort in knowing that the FA Cup has been very kind to them in the past, but at the same time, they will be going up against an Arsenal side that look pretty unstoppable, which should open up the door for the visitors to run wild on the south coast.

Manchester United 1-0 Brighton

Manchester United have sacked Ruben Amorim and they have looked pretty woeful for the last few weeks. Brighton & Hove Albion, on the other hand, are mingling around midtable, which is a spot they have become pretty familiar with in recent years. We do think the Old Trafford crowd will spur United on to a dull 1-0 win, with the goal most likely coming from a set piece.

Research Suggestions

Although the game is open to all Sky Bet customers, it arguably rewards those who put in the time and effort. So do your research by reading through form tables to see the home and away form and goals scored and against.

Also, be sure to check for any critical player injuries. Like with Fantasy Football, you don’t want to put all your hopes on a team winning only to find their best player is out injured.

Sky Super 6 Rules

Regarding how the Sky Super 6 works, the premise sounds rather simple - predict the correct scores in six selected matches and walk away with £200,000 for your troubles (and a new car). This one is easy to play but incredibly difficult to master.

To make mastering the game a little more difficult, there are no prizes for simply predicting the correct outcome. For example, if Chelsea plays Manchester City and you predict a 1-1 draw, that is the score required to tick off your first winner.

Should the two top-tier rivals play out a 2-2 draw instead, you may have backed the correct outcome, but that is no good in this free football jackpot game.

Final Thoughts

This game is open to all Sky customers, and not only is it open to all, but it could not be easier to play, although it is incredibly difficult to master. We all know our football, and backing a team to win, lose, or draw is not the most difficult wager.

However, things become much more difficult when you add the correct score. Even though mastering the game may prove difficult, it does nothing to reduce the fun that can be had. Good luck!

Sky Super 6 FAQs

Super 6 is a prediction game where you go head-to-head against one of our pundits each round. You'll be entered into a prize draw if you beat their score. You can also compete for other prizes by predicting the correct scores for six football fixtures.

Predictions must be submitted before the first fixture of a given round kicks off. You can make unlimited changes until the first fixture starts.

The prizes are:

  • Super 6 Jackpot: Predict all six correct scores to win the Jackpot.
  • Top Scorer: Win a guaranteed cash prize each round for topping the leaderboard.
  • Head to Head: Beat the pundit for a chance to win £1,000 in a prize draw.
  • The 100 Club: Predict a score that fewer than 100 players correctly guess and join the exclusive 100 Club, earning special prizes.
  • Season Leaderboard: Finish top at the end of the season and win £10,000 cash.
  • Official Club Leagues: Top your official club league to win your club's shirt and potentially win tickets to the play-off final if your team qualifies.

Super 6 uses the same account platform as Sky Bet and ITV7. If you are informed that you already have an account, please log in with your existing account details.

If a fixture is postponed, abandoned, or incomplete (less than 90 minutes played), it will be considered void.

If fewer than six fixtures are completed, the jackpot will be reduced accordingly. If only three or fewer fixtures are completed, the Jackpot Competition for that round will be void.

Points are awarded as follows:

  • Correct result: 2 points
  • Correct score: 5 points

Only one entry per round is allowed per person. If multiple accounts are detected under the same person, all such accounts will be closed, and entries will be disqualified.

The Golden Goal predicts when the first goal will be scored across the 6 fixtures. If players have the same number of points, it acts as a tiebreaker. The prediction closest to the actual time will be ranked higher.

Yes, the same tiebreakers apply over monthly and season rankings, including multiple rounds. Your Golden Goal predictions from all rounds within the period are collated, with the lowest Golden Goal score ranked higher.

Tiebreakers are determined by:

  1. Who predicted the most correct scores?]
  2. If scores are still tied, the Golden Goal prediction is used, with the closest prediction ranked higher.

Visit the leaderboard and use the filters to see your round, month, or season standings. You can also join or create leagues with friends. Log in and go to the My Account tab to manage your account details.

In this case, the player with the closest Golden Goal prediction across the rounds will rank higher.

Yes, you can make unlimited changes until the first fixture of the round kicks off. After that, your predictions are locked in.

Finishing top in the Official Club League will win you your club's shirt. If your team makes it to the Championship, League One, or League Two play-off final, you’ll also win tickets to the game.
