According to reports Noni Madueke could be heading to the Stamford Bridge exit doors with Arsenal set to be interested in bringing in the former Tottenham winger. Meanwhile, Nicolas Jackson continues to make headlines for all the wrong reasons following his second silly red card in the space of a few days. We caught up with former Chelsea defender Glen Johnson to discuss the futures of the pair which is seemingly in doubt.

Could Madueke Become A World Beater?

In recent days, Chelsea and England winger Noni Madueke, who recorded 16 goal contributions in 41 games on the way to helping Chelsea win the Europa League Conference League title is said to be available for the right fee. Madueke has found his way into both Lee Carsley and Thomas Tuchel’s England squads over the last year and it is reported that Chelsea initially valued their winger at around £56m but could now be willing to accept offers worth £43m. Johnson is of the belief that Chelsea should be looking to keep the winger who he feels could be a world beater if he keeps working on his game.

"I like Madueke and he’s similar to Kudus, he's got that explosive speed and probably goes past people too easily, in the sense that it looks like he doesn't concentrate."

"If you could pin him down and remind him what he's good at and just tell him to do that every single time, he could be unstoppable."

"Sometimes it looks like the game's so easy for him that he just goes through the motions a little bit. If you could really get into his head, he could be a world beater. I think he's definitely worth keeping and working with and ability wise, he could be unstoppable."

This Season Is Make Or Break for Jackson

Meanwhile, striker Nicholas Jackson who is under increasing pressure following the arrival of England U21 striker Liam Delap has been handed a two-game ban for the straight red card that he received in the Club World Cup loss to Flamengo last Friday. Pressure will be mounting on Jackson to get his disciplinary issues in order and stay on the field if he to fend off the threat of Delap. Johnson argues it’s now make or break for Jackson who must find a consistency in his game otherwise he won’t be at the Bridge next season.

"It's important. You need to have people pushing each other's performances to the limits. Obviously with the red cards, probably a bit of frustration is coming out. But at the start of last season, he looked the best he has in a Chelsea shirt."

"Again, he's not that consistent and there's games where he goes missing. So I think yeah, to have a new player come in with a big reputation, that can push each other. We're either going to see the best of Nicolas Jackson or he probably won't be there next season."
