Revealed: The Cost Of Attending The 2025 European Finals

The stage is set. England’s representatives in European club competitions have been confirmed, and fans can start planning their trips as Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Chelsea prepare to battle for continental silverware.

Next Wednesday, Manchester United and Spurs will meet in an all-English Europa League final in Bilbao, while Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea face a showdown with Antony’s Real Betis in the Europa Conference League final in Wrocław on 28th May.

With tickets to Munich, Bilbao and Wrocław being snapped up quickly by the clubs’ loyal travelling supporters, we crunched the numbers to break down how much it will cost fans to attend each final—including travel, accommodation, food, and match tickets.

Both Manchester United and Tottenham have endured underwhelming Premier League campaigns, finishing 16th and 17th respectively—far from the top-four ambitions they began the season with. This final is not just about lifting silverware, it’s about salvaging pride.

Unfortunately for fans, that pride comes with a price. Manchester United fans are expected to shell out upwards of £3,000 to travel to Bilbao for the final. Tottenham fans are looking at a similar total outlay of around £3,000. This includes return flights, 2–3 nights of accommodation, match tickets (which are rising on secondary markets), and food and drink in the Basque capital.

For Spurs, the situation on the pitch is just as costly as the one off it. Injuries to James Maddison, Lucas Bergvall, and Dejan Kulusevski (recently ruled out after knee surgery) have left Ange Postecoglou without some of his most important attacking outlets. Kulusevski’s injury, which saw him subbed off just 19 minutes into the loss against Crystal Palace, could prove pivotal. How Ange will be able to adapt without three of his main creative forces will go a long way to deciding the fate of the final.

Europa Conference League Final: Chelsea vs Real Betis

Chelsea fans are set for a much more affordable trip. The west London club will be hoping to cap off Enzo Maresca’s debut season with silverware—and a trophy win could mark the beginning of a new era under the Italian coach. A trip to Wrocław for the Conference League final is far more economical, with an average cost of around £1,500. Budget-conscious fans could potentially make the journey for as low as £610. The Polish city also offers cheaper food and drink prices compared to Bilbao.

Methodology

  • Round trip flight costs from cities of semi-finalists to respective final venues were collected through Google Flights.
  • Accommodation costs for two nights were collected via listings on Booking.com and Airbnb.
  • Cost of three meals per day (total six meals) was collected for respective cities through Numbeo.
  • Ticket prices were sourced via UEFA’s official website.
