Up to the 2022 season 25 teams have won the cup and 20 of these are still active in the NHL. The best performing team in the NHL is the Montreal Canadiens with 24 Stanley Cup wins and 35 final appearances.
The current cup holders for the 2022 season are Colorado Avalanche claiming their 3rd Championship victory over Tampa Bay Lightning.
Betting on the NHL
Betting on the NHL isn't as popular as on some other sports but it's still a great game to bet on. Placing a simple Moneyline bet on the outcome of a game is easiest bet to place, but for the more adventurous you can place Puck Line or Goal Totals bets. You can also place Player or Team Prop bets on events such as first team to score, assists or goals saved. Live betting is also possible.
Futures bets can also be placed on the NHL. You can bet on teams to win their division or conference, League MVP or the eventual winner of the Stanley Cup.
